In NetSim v11.1 the network layer routing protocol property is not properly updated in all the devices when user modifies the value. Due to this whenever user attempts to modifiy the network layer routing protocol there will be a mismatch between the sensors and the Sinknode. This leads to simulation crash. 

In order to avoid this error download the Property.xml file attached in this article and replace the already existing file in <NetSim_Install_Directory>\Docs\xml\Properties path as shown below:

Close and reopen NetSim and create network scenario in WSN. Make changes to the network layer routing protocol as per your requirement and run Simulations. NetSim WSN simulation will now run without the error due to mismatch in the network layer routing protocol.
