OPENFLOW_COMMAND and OPENFLOW_RESPONSE packets are generated when open flow commands are executed.
OPENFLOW_COMMAND packets are those sent from the SDN Controller to a specific client device for which commands are executed in the controller. OPENFLOW_RESPONSE packets are sent from the client devices to the SDN controller when OpenFlow commands are received.
You can find these packets in the NetSim Packet trace which can be enabled prior to the simulation.
The command and response sent from the controller and the client nodes respectively, use TCP protocol for reliability.
Hence, TCP needs to be enabled in the SDN controller and client nodes for SDN command to be executed successfully.
